Synopsis

The Woodsman is the story of Amos, Keeper of the Forest for King Charles the First, who by some strange alchemy finds himself stranded in the 21st century. Whether he can return to his own time four hundred years ago, largely depends on the ingenuity and resourcefulness of a free-spirited hound, a food-obsessed cat and his bossy, opinionated sister. With Amos firmly in their capable paws, the friends set out to find a window through time and send him back 400 years, often with hilarious consequences.

Beautifully written, you can’t help but fall in love with these furry friends who each have their own take on life. Their trials and tribulations in amongst a world of ghosts and ancient tree spirits, with a smattering of quirky and sometimes sinister characters, is utterly captivating and often laugh out loud funny.

A heart-warming tale of everyday magic, The Woodsman is an escape into the hidden, mysterious worlds of ancient woods which come alive under the full moon.
